
The 3rd General Assembly of the JA PreventNCD project will take place on 9-11 June 2026 at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) in Rome, Italy. The event will bring together members of the consortium, project partners and experts engaged in activities aimed at the prevention of non-communicable diseases. The Medical University of Silesia in Katowice will be represented by Katarzyna Brukało, PhD, Assoc. Prof. at the Medical University of Silesia and Anna Lempart-Rapacewicz, PhD.
The General Assembly is one of the key project meetings and will provide an opportunity to review progress to date, exchange experiences, and further strengthen collaboration among partners from different countries. The event will open with a plenary session dedicated to the project’s achievements, followed by thematic workshops focused on the practical application and further development of the results produced within the project.
The programme also includes meetings within individual Work Packages, enabling in-depth discussions on ongoing tasks and planning of future activities. The Assembly will conclude with a joint session outlining the next steps in the project’s implementation.
The main objective of the meeting is to enhance cooperation among partners and ensure coherence of activities contributing to the achievement of the core goals of the JA PreventNCD project, including:
- strengthening Member States’ capacity to plan and implement preventive actions,
- improving monitoring systems for non-communicable diseases and their risk factors,
- reducing health inequalities,
- and fostering collaboration among participants.
The meeting will also provide a valuable platform for direct exchange of experiences, building partnerships, and developing new initiatives that will increase the impact of the project at the European level.
