On September 19, the Intersectoral Working Group on Public Food Procurement, operating under the JA PreventNCD project, held an online meeting.

The event was organized by Katarzyna Bruka\u0142o, PhD, Associate Professor, and focused on public food procurement in public institutions across the European Union. The group continues the work initiated under the Best Re-MaP project, with its main goal being to promote healthy food choices through the implementation of sustainable public procurement practices in public institutions.

The meeting was attended by representatives from various sectors, including health, education, public administration, non-governmental organizations, the food industry, and public procurement experts.
The meeting was opened by Ne\u017ea Fras, who \u2013 together with her team lead Mojca Gabrijel\u010di\u010d and with the support of the team from the Municipality of Copenhagen \u2013 coordinates Task 5.4 on public food procurement within the Joint Action PreventNCD project. She highlighted the growing awareness and commitment to high-quality public food procurement in Poland. She also emphasized the importance of friendly and strong relationships between teams, which bring added value to the collaboration.
The meeting was attended by, among others, representatives of cities (Warsaw, Zabrze, Rybnik), scientific societies (such as the Polish Society of Dietetics), and public institutions including schools, kindergartens, and hospitals.

During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:

\u2022 the current status of activities within the JA PreventNCD project,
\u2022 priorities and challenges related to public food procurement,
\u2022 good practices and inspirations from other regions and projects,
\u2022 planning of future activities and the group\u2019s work schedule.

The meeting provided an important opportunity to exchange experiences and strengthen intersectoral cooperation, which is key to implementing meaningful changes in the public procurement system\u2014for the benefit of public health and sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
