{"id":1547,"date":"2025-06-04T11:37:58","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T09:37:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/preventncd.sum.edu.pl\/?p=1547"},"modified":"2025-06-04T14:17:28","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T12:17:28","slug":"spotkanie-zespolu-ds-zrownowazonego-rozwoju-japreventncd-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/preventncd.sum.edu.pl\/en\/spotkanie-zespolu-ds-zrownowazonego-rozwoju-japreventncd-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Visit of the JA PreventNCD Project Manager to the Medical University of Silesia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b90f18fbc59fda5cea8512c6ecc5a1e1\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On June 2, 2025, the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice hosted an official visit from Knut J\u00f8nsrud, the Project Manager of JA PreventNCD from the Norwegian Directorate of Health (Helsedirektoratet).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of the visit was to personally review the progress of preparations for the upcoming international Annual Meeting of JA PreventNCD, which will begin on June 16th at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. During his visit, Knut J\u00f8nsrud toured the event venue, reviewed the facilities, and took part in discussions concerning organizational and logistical issues, as well as the reception of delegations from 25 European countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following this, a meeting with the JA PreventNCD project team was held at the Rectorate of the Medical University of Silesia. The participants included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022\tKatarzyna Bruka\u0142o, PhD \u2013 National Project Manager of JA PreventNCD in Poland,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2022\tIlona Hajok, PhD \u2013 Deputy Director of the Centre for Technology Transfer,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2022\tMicha\u0142 Henke \u2013 Head of the Promotion Department,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2022\tand administrative staff of the University involved in the project implementation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The next item on the agenda was a meeting with the University Authorities, attended by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2022\tOskar Kowalski, MD, PhD \u2013 Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Education and Promotion,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2022\tMonika Wojtasik \u2013 Bursar of the Medical University of Silesia,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2022\tAnna Tilszer \u2013 Director of the Technology Transfer Centre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>During the meeting, strategic directions for the project\u2019s development were discussed, along with the potential for engaging local and international partners, and initiatives promoting public health in the context of preventing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We were pleased to host Knut J\u00f8nsrud in Katowice \u2013 his visit was a valuable opportunity for productive discussions and strengthening collaboration.
