The 2025 JA PreventNCD Annual Meeting will take place on 16-18 June 2025 at the International Congress Centre in Katowice, bringing together two events:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 A meeting of the entire Joint Action PreventNCD Consortium, i.e. representatives from all EU Member States, on 16-17 June 2025, in the final of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 The Second Meeting of the Consortium on Cancer and other NCDs Prevention (EU-CNCD), which will serve as a platform for implementing science into practical solutions. The meeting will take place on 17-18 June 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is organised by the JA Prevent NCD\u2019s Sustainability team (WP4) - National Institute of Public Health Slovenia and Medical University of Silesia. We expect around 400 participants at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting involves key parties involved in NCD prevention, including policy makers, civil society organisations, professionals and academics. The aim is to facilitate collaboration and joint efforts for public health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A tremendous amount of work has been done since the start of the project, and the Katowice event will provide an opportunity to share progress to date and discuss key public health issues that are challenging the participants involved in the various work packages. The meeting will also provide an opportunity to network and meet consortium partners and colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the meeting is to foster effective collaboration within the project, to promote high scientific quality and practicality in our activities. We aim to ensure coherence of the project and a common understanding of its objectives, and to facilitate open discussion about the progress of our work, as well as challenges and opportunities. By bringing together colleagues from different work packages and more than 100 partners involved in JA PreventNCD, we hope that the meeting will provide many opportunities for networking, collaboration and constructive discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
