Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Joint Action PreventNCD project in Brussels

On 6-7 November 2025 in Brussels, we are participating in the fourth in-person meeting of the Executive Committee of the Joint Action PreventNCD project.

The Joint Action PreventNCD project is a European Union initiative aimed at reducing the incidence of cancer and other non-communicable diseases in Member States. The project’s activities focus on supporting health policies and strategies that address both individual and social risk factors. Executive Committee meetings provide an opportunity to discuss current strategic and organizational issues to ensure more effective coordination of actions and greater engagement of national institutions in health prevention.

The JA PreventNCD project is being implemented from 2024 to 2027, and the meeting in Brussels takes place at the midpoint of its implementation to discuss three key topics:

  • Identification of the project’s most significant achievements that have the greatest potential impact and should be considered priorities,
  • Optimal use of financial resources in the context of the project’s objectives and the evolving priorities of EU policy (including the European Cardiovascular Health Plan),
  • How the conclusions from the meeting will influence further actions, publications, and the development of the project.

The meeting in Brussels is organized in a workshop format and has brought together 21 members of the Executive Committee. Among the participants is Katarzyna Brukało, PhD, Professor at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, who is one of the Committee members. Additional invited experts are also present. Participants are presenting key project results, which serve as a starting point for discussion. The materials developed during the meeting will be used in the next stages of the project’s implementation.

We are pleased to present concrete results and experiences that truly contribute to the development of the project!
