We are pleased to announce that the Minister for European Union Affairs - Adam Szłapka, on 05.03.2025, decided to grant the patronage of the Polish Presidency to our event: Joint Action for the Prevention of Chronic and Oncological Diseases. The Medical University of Silesia in Katowice is the main Coordinator of the Project in the country, as well as the Co-leader of the Consortium Board and the European Coordinator. The meeting of the JA PreventNCD Consortium will take place in Katowice on June 16-17, 2025 - during the conclusion of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2025. The Project has also established the Consortium on Cancer Prevention, its meeting is planned in Katowice, on June 17-18, 2025. The event has also been granted the honorary patronage. We are extremely proud that our Events will become a part of the Presidency's calendar !!!

We are very pleased to announce that our Joint Action PreventNCD event has received the Honorary Patronage of the Chairman of the Board of the Upper Silesian and Zagłębie Metropolitan Area, Mr. Kazimierz Karolczak. This is a great support for us and confirmation that our initiative is of great importance for the region. The Upper Silesian-Zagłębów Metropolis is the first and so far only metropolis in Poland established by law. It is formed by 41 cities and municipalities located in the central part of the Silesian Voivodeship, inhabited by more than 2 million fantastic residents. The task of the GZM is to create the best possible conditions for its residents to live, educate, work and relax. The metropolis not only supports science and universities operating on its territory, but also organizes public transportation, develops urban mobility, tackles climate change and supports business. The patronage of the President is an important signal that our activities are appreciated at the highest level and a motivation to continue working and developing the event!
