The same method can be used to submit requests for the provision of inaccessible information and to file complaints about the lack of accessibility.

Everyone has the right to request a public entity to ensure the digital accessibility of the specified website. It is also possible to request the provision of information through an alternative access method, as referred to in Article 7 of the relevant Act. The request should include: contact details of the person making the request; identification of the public entity's website that should be digitally accessible; indication of how to contact the person making the request; indication of an alternative access method, if applicable.

The digital accessibility of a public entity's website will be ensured without undue delay, but no later than 7 days from the date of the request.

If the aforementioned digital accessibility cannot be ensured within 7 days, the public entity must promptly inform the person making the request about the reasons for the delay and the date by which the digital accessibility of the specified website will be ensured, but no later than two months from the date of the request.

If the public entity is unable to ensure the digital accessibility of a website element as requested, it must promptly inform the person making the request about the reasons for the inability to ensure digital accessibility of the specified element, and indicate an alternative method of accessing this element.

In the case of a refusal to ensure the digital accessibility of a public entity's website, as specified in the request, or in the case of a refusal to use the alternative access method by the person making the request, a complaint regarding the digital accessibility of the website can be filed with the public entity.

After all options for complaints have been exhausted, the complaint can also be submitted to the Ombudsman.

Architectural Accessibility

The Rectorate Building of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, located at Poniatowskiego Street 15.

The Rectorate building has two entrances located in the central part. The main entrance is located on the front wall of the building, directly facing Poniatowskiego Street. Behind the main entrance doors, there are stairs leading to the first floor (ground floor). On the right side of the stairs, there is a platform for transporting people with disabilities who use wheelchairs. On the left side of the stairs (ground floor), there is a security desk. The second entrance is located at the rear wall of the building, facing the internal courtyard of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration Hospital. This entrance is primarily for evacuation purposes in case of fire or other local hazards. Wheelchair access is available. The building is equipped with a passenger elevator (with Braille buttons). Currently, there are no designated parking spaces for people with disabilities.

All floors are accessible for wheelchair users, except for the basement. A restroom for people with disabilities is available on the ground floor of the building.

The building and all its rooms are accessible with an assistance dog or guide dog.

The building does not have induction loops.

The building does not have Braille signs or contrast markings, nor enlarged print for blind or visually impaired individuals.
